After many months of planning, recording, and editing, we finally launched our podcast Flourish: Fighting for Feminist Cities with the help of the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Sciences Learning Technologists. You can listen to Episode 1 through the following link:
This inaugural episode centers a conversation between Feminist Cities CoLAB co-founder Dr. Roxana Pessoa Cavalcanti and two activist-academics: Carolina Peterli is a PhD candidate in Interdisciplinary Studies on Women, Gender, and Feminism at PPGNEIM-UFBA (Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Studies on Women, Gender and Feminism at the Federal University of Bahia) and is a member of the World March for Women. Yasmin Curzi is a practicing lawyer and postdoctoral research fellow at UVA’s Digital Technology for Democracy Lab with an interest in human rights law, digital law, gender studies, and digital sociology. She also coordinates the “Digital Media and Conflict Prevention” project (2023-25), funded by the European Union, as well as the Dynamic Coalition on Platform Responsibility at the UN Internet Governance Forum.
Episode 2 is currently undergoing editing, and we are working on the potential of making both episodes available to a multilingual audience. Additionally, Flourish may be available on Apple Podcasts later on in the month (check our Instagram for more updates!). We appreciate everyone who was involved in this process and everyone who is tuning in to the CoLAB's ongoing output!
